What we collect

• Text you submit to a tool, and the result we produce from it.
• Account and billing data if you sign in or subscribe: your email address, subscription status, and whether you are subscribed to our marketing emails. Card details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored by us.
• Sign-in codes. When you ask us to email you a code, we hold your address and a one-way hash of that code for 10 minutes, then delete the record. We never store a password.
• Technical data needed to run the site securely: your request metadata, approximate country from your network address (to show the right currency), and server logs kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.

Submitted content

Depending on the tool you use, your text is sent to the third-party provider that powers it: detection and plagiarism checks use Copyleaks; generation tools (paraphrase, humanise, summarise) use OpenAI. We store your text alongside its result only as long as needed to serve your report, then it is deleted automatically:

• If you don't buy a report: your text and result are deleted within 24 hours of your check.
• If you do: they're kept for 30 days so you can return to the report you paid for, then deleted.

Deletion is automatic and unconditional. You do not have to ask. We do not train on or repurpose your content beyond serving your result, and we never place submitted content in URLs or query strings.

How we use your data

We use it to provide the service (produce your result and run your subscription), to keep the service secure and prevent abuse, to meet legal and accounting obligations, and, if you have subscribed, to email you about your subscription. When you create an account we also add you to our marketing email list to send offers, product news and tips; you can unsubscribe at any time from your account settings or from any marketing email, and it is never a condition of buying anything. Our legal bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in a secure and working service, your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with law.

What we store

Your result and its scores (for the window above), and subscription state (email, billing status). We keep the minimum personal information needed to run the service.

Third-party providers

We share data only with the providers that make the service work, under agreements that limit them to processing it on our behalf:

• Copyleaks and OpenAI, to analyse or generate text for the tool you use;
• Stripe, to take payment (card data is handled by Stripe, not stored by us);
• Klaviyo, to run our marketing email list and send marketing emails to subscribers;
• our hosting and email providers, to run the site and send receipts and reminders.

Advertising measurement. We run ads, and we measure which of them lead to a sale using Google Analytics. When you buy, we share an irreversibly hashed form of your email address so the sale can be matched to the click. A hash cannot be turned back into your address. We never share a raw email, and we never share the text you submitted with anyone but the providers named above.

Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies that are strictly necessary: to keep you signed in, to remember your currency, and to keep the site secure. We do not use advertising cookies unless the advertising measurement above is active, and we set none before it applies.

International transfers

Some providers named above may process data outside your country. Where they do, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, so your data keeps a comparable level of protection.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the personal data we hold about you, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the UK or EU these are your rights under the UK GDPR and GDPR; if you are in California you have comparable rights under the CCPA, and we do not sell your personal information. To exercise a right, email us; we may need to verify your identity first. Cancellation and refunds are self-serve in your account.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and short retention. No online service can promise perfect security, but we keep what we hold to a minimum and delete it as soon as it has done its job.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. If a change is material we will take reasonable steps to tell you. The "last updated" date above always shows the current version.
