The service

Clever Checker is a suite of writing tools, including an AI-content detector, a plagiarism checker, a grammar checker, a paraphraser, a summariser, a word counter and a readability checker. Some tools analyse text and return a score or a set of matches; others generate or rewrite text from what you provide. You may use them free within the limits shown on each tool, and a paid subscription lifts those limits and unlocks batch checking.

Who may use it

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 18 to start a paid subscription. You are responsible for anything done through your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf.

An estimate, not proof

Our AI detector returns a confidence estimate that content is AI-generated. It is not a guarantee and does not certify that any text is or is not AI-generated. Independent benchmarks show false-positive rates of 1–5%+ and lower accuracy on the newest models and on non-native English writing. You must not rely on a result as the sole basis for any high-stakes decision: academic discipline, hiring or firing, admissions, credit, tenancy, insurance, or denial of service. The same caution applies to every tool here: a plagiarism result reports matches, not a finding of misconduct; a summary check estimates faithfulness and does not certify truth; a humaniser or paraphraser does not make text "undetectable".

No model attribution

The tool estimates the likelihood that content is AI-generated. It does not identify which model or product produced the content, and we make no such claim.

No accuracy guarantee

We do not warrant any level of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose, and we disclaim liability for decisions made using a result. The service, and every result it produces, is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• submit content you have no right to submit, or that is unlawful, infringing or harmful;
• use a result to harass, defame, discriminate against or penalise any person, including as the sole basis for a high-stakes decision described above;
• break, overload, probe or circumvent the service, its rate limits or its security, including scraping, automated bulk access outside the batch feature, or reselling access;
• reverse engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product; or
• upload malware, or attempt to gain access to accounts or data that are not yours.

We may suspend or end access that breaks these rules, threatens the service, or is used to abuse the free tier.

Your content

You keep all rights in the text you submit. You grant us only the limited, temporary licence needed to process that text and return your result, including passing it to the third-party providers described in our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not train models on it or reuse it beyond serving your result. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the rights to submit it.

Our content

The service, its software, design, text and marks are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. These terms grant you no rights in them except the right to use the service as intended.

Subscription & billing

See Billing terms for the price of each plan in your currency. In short: a paid 7-day trial starts today; when it ends, your subscription begins and your card is charged automatically for the plan you chose, and again at each renewal, until you cancel. The recurring amount and its interval depend on the plan and your currency and are shown in full at checkout, next to the pay button, before you enter a card. Charges show as MY-AI-CHECK.

Cancellation & refunds

Cancel anytime, self-serve and online, in your account or on the no-login cancel page. Cancel during the trial and you are never charged the recurring amount. Cancel afterwards and it takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, which you keep access to. Refund on request: email , no reason needed.

Marketing emails

When you create an account we add you to our marketing email list and may send you offers, product news and tips. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and you can unsubscribe at any time from your account settings or from the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. This is separate from service emails (receipts, trial reminders and cancellation notices), which we send about your subscription regardless. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle this.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising from your use of the service or reliance on any result. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to cover us against claims, losses and costs arising from content you submit or from your use of the service in breach of these terms.

Changes

We may update the service and these terms. If a change is material we will take reasonable steps to tell you, for example by notice on the site. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and cancel as described above. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or to protect the service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive, including content licence, disclaimers, liability and indemnity, survive termination.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is established, and any dispute is subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
