Fair Use Policy

Last updated 2026. This policy explains what "Unlimited" means on cleverchecker.com and what it does not. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

What Unlimited means

On the free tier you get 5 checks a day, and after the first one each check waits a few minutes before the next. Unlimited removes both:

• No daily cap. Check as many times a day as your own work needs.
• No waiting. Every check runs the moment you press the button.
• Every tool. Including the ones the free tier only shows in part.
• Upload, batch and export. Documents in, documents out.

What still has a size

Unlimited is about how OFTEN you check, not how big one check is. These limits apply to every account, and each of them is shown on the page where it applies:

• One check reads up to 4,000 words (2,000 on the free tier). Paste more and we check that much and tell you how much was read, rather than refusing the document.
• One batch holds up to 50 documents, and one uploaded file up to 4 MB.
• Some checks are answered by third parties whose own limits we cannot exceed. Where one is unavailable we say so, and nothing is charged for a check that did not run.

Fair use

A subscription is for one person's own writing. To keep the service fast for everybody paying for it, we ask that you do not:

• share an account between people, or resell access to it;
• drive it with a script, a bot or any automated bulk process, which is what the batch feature is for;
• run volumes far beyond ordinary personal or professional use, in a way that degrades the service for others.

If usage looks automated or shared, we will contact you first wherever we can, and work it out with you. We may slow, suspend or end access that continues, and where we end a subscription for this reason we refund the unused part of the period you paid for. We do not quietly throttle a paying account: if a limit is applied to yours, you will be told.

Changes

If we change these limits we will update this page, and the numbers above will change with the service on the same day. Continuing to use cleverchecker.com after a change means you accept it.
