How it works
How each check is made
The AI score
Measured, not asked. We sample how predictable each token is and score that against a model fitted offline, sentence by sentence. It is a confidence, not a verdict, and no result names the model that may have written something.
Plagiarism
Distinctive phrases from your text go to a web search, we fetch the pages it returns, and we count the words that genuinely overlap. The score is matched words over submitted words. Nothing reaches the report that we did not find in a page we read.
Grammar and rewrites
Grammar runs on a rules engine inside our own infrastructure, so that text is not handed to anyone. The rewriting tools use a language model. Both answer inside the request, so there is nothing to come back for.
A check takes a few seconds because the work is real: the detector samples your text token by token, and the plagiarism checker goes and fetches the pages it found.
Your text
What we keep
Sign in and your checks are saved in your account until you delete them. That is what the account is for.
Check without one and the text you pasted is wiped after a while. The finding stays, so your link still opens, and the words are gone.
Either way, anyone else opening your result link sees the score and the sources, never your document. How long we keep what, and who we work with, is on the privacy page.
